2005 CWB Absolute 141 Platinum
The new board design features an amped up new rocker pattern with over 3" of rocker making the board ride more tip high and delivers softer landings out in the flats. With a subtle 3-stage rocker, the pop is explosive but consistent. The new molded bottom fins are longer, thinner and deeper with a step-down tail which gives the board more control. The molded fins help the board track while giving the board tremendous grip and speed into the wake. The hull has a center spine that extends under the bindings. When landing the spine pushes the water out to either side for the softer landings. The board is controllable and stays under the rider to deliver excessive lift from the wake. A new top shape is dished under the bindings. It grips on cuts and holds strong to the top of the wake, the rocker line amps up the pop and smooths out the landings. It is like nothing I have ever ridden, the best ever. - Zane Schwenk
A lighter and stronger version of the regular Absolute, the Platinum process involves hollow fiberglass rods that act as stringers, and lighter density closed cell Polyurethane foam, extensive use of carbon graphite and new for 05, Texalium Top (by Hexcel). The Platinum also comes with 2 sets of polished aluminum fins. Choose from finless, .75" or 1.3" fins to fit your riding style. The result is a board .75 lbs. lighter, with incredible snap, more than any other board on the market.

This is the best board I have ever ridden. I think they expanded greatly on the previous model. Here is the deal...if you want to go big every time...then you need speed and pop. this board is pretty fast and pop comes from rocker. This board has 3.1 inches of rocker and is wide which also helps. The only other board on the market that has more rocker is another CWB. Definitely ride before you buy though...it is a love hate thing. I’ll tell you this though, rent it for a couple days...I’ve had mine for 6 months and I still like it better every time i get on it. Oh yeah get rid of that center fin....the molded ones are plenty.

Had a parks 144 before but sold it. I love this board. I have been riding a 02 Byerly 142 for a few years and wanted a different ride. This board gave it to me with a lose and light feel. I bought the LF Transits to go with it.

The best wakeboard money can buy.

Best of all efforts made yet by CWB. I’ve been enjoying the Absolute Platinum’s of past years, make no mistake, the new one is where it’s at. Insane grip, HUGE pop, smooth landings, even works for some of the "newbies" in my boat. No doubt the Platinum is the deck to buy in 05.

Overall it is a very easy board to ride and is light-years beyond last years model. It performs consitantly and predictably and really is a dream on the water. This board has a little more rocker than most boards and that slows it down considerably and because of its width it lands a little heavy. I will be riding this board this season.

Great board! Stock fins will need to be removed/replaced if you want to break loose, but the board gives a nice big kick and landings are silky smooth ~ and I cased the opposite wake a couple of times.
Fins off, the board tracks well, but I would prefer to have a short fin on this board maybe somewhere around 0.75 or so. This board is medium to fast, which should suit most riders.
Graphics are definitely innovative the topsheet has almost a carbon-fiber appearance to it and is not at all gaudy (see 05 Premier!). It has a nice sheen to it that sets it apart from the rest of the boards in your racks.
I give this board two thumbs up!
