2005 Hyperlite Era 142
For 2005 we redesigned one of our most popular series of all time. The new Era series wakeboard comes with 16 fret rails. These rails are a variation of a step down rail and a flow thru rail. The fret rails do not sit as deep in the water as a step down rail. They are not as grippy as a flow thru rail. A fret rail was designed to be fast out of the hull. The new Era series wakeboard has a lot of the same characteristics as last year's. It is now clearly a quicker board overall. Through a turn and towards the wake. The wakeboard has more exaggerated bottom channels as well. This series has less friction on the water than any other 3-Stage wakeboard.

I am pretty much an am, so I couldn’t rate this board in all of the areas. Overall, this board is off the hook. Tracks very nicely and has some of the biggest, nastiest pop of any board i have ridden. I love it. Buy it and you will too.

This is a great board for anything you want to do on the wake. The most impressive thing about the board i have noticed is how well it tracks and the great speed of the board. You can carve as tight a you would want. I love the huge rails running all the way through the board, it keeps excellent traction on the water and doesn’t take away from butterslides or lip slides. I’d reccomend this board to anyone just learning tricks over the wake, it gives the pop u need.
