2003 O'Brien Absence 137
Snowboard influenced design and feel is the concept behind the Absence series boards. Molded in fins placed just right on these boards give you the freedom to rotate up out of the wake but give you hold and edging power when you need it. Three stage rocker and a nice flat spot give the Absence unrivaled pop off the wake. The Absence series is the definition of how finless boards were meant to be designed and ridden. Make a commitment to your free riding style and represent with an Absence.

What a great board. I have tried several different boards now and cannot find anything near as goos with such a great feel. It has a kind of loosness that helps that feeeride feel but still holds a great line. May be compromised be this slightly but overall it doesn’t matter a jot. Fun fun fun. Not sure they make them as good as this anymore.

I rode this board for an entire season and loved it. It gave an awsome pop at the wake and was great for spins and inverts. Tracking could be a bit better, especially toeside landings. I really enjoyed this board and loved riding it; however, there is one big problem! A lot of the Absence boards were defective, and as a result the bindings rip away from the core and cause the board to delam. This is exactly what happened to me. If you have an opportunity to buy this board enjoy it while it lasts!

I demoed this board today and really didn’t like it all that well. It’s great for 180’s and spins and whatnot and has a good pop but it’s very slow and you can’t cut well with it. This is becuase there is no center fin and you don’t have the option of having a center fin. I did the hardest face plant of my life becuase of the weird way this board rides. Some may like it...i definetly did not
