2003 Hyperlite TFD 136
The goal of the TFD series was to take the feel of the old Drifter/Project shape and update it with all of the new features of the latest Hyperlite boards. We gave the board a step down rail, deep tunnel, 6 degree winged fins, a deeper center beam and a wider tip/tail profile. Keep the feel of the continuous rocker, but add just a little more boot than the old shape.
For my style of riding I want a predictable ride up the kicker with a quick overall feel. A board, that when I set it on rail hooks up fast for a stronger edge into the wake. The angled fins give the feel I was looking for, but doesn't make the board feel as tight on the water.
I think we met the challenge, that's why it is the TFD,
The TFD combines a smooth rocker line with an aggressive edging style on the water and a sense of forgiveness on landings. A new fast action carver for riders on the go.2.7" Continuous Rocker - a smooth, reliable, fast transition up the wake every time. Step Down Rail - a moderate rail, makes the board sit slightly lower on the water. Widest Tip/Tail Profile - rolls over smooth. stands up higher through the wake. Deep Center Beam - helps push the water out for buttery smooth landings. Four 1.3" A-Wing Machined Aluminum Fins - designed for a quick reaction time and a stronger overall edge hold. 6 Degree Angled Fins - create a smooth turn with a stronger bite once on rail.

This board tips so hard you wont believe it. So much pop and it cuts real quick and releases just right off the wake. I really like how it rides real high on the water. I really cant emphasize the pop this board has. It wants to go so f’in big everytime. Its a sick ass board fo sho!

Wow. my 3rd year wakeboarding, first year on an obrien swindle, (a good beginner board, but not good for much else) then a neptune abyss (great pop, but too heavy) then i rode this. The pop is amazing, and they are the softest landings you have ever felt. By comparison to the other boards ive ridden, this is the lightest board, yet it is still extremely stable. Definitely recommended.

Wow this board is amazing, the pop is so great and consistant, and the landings couldn’t feel any better! EXTREMELY stable and consistant with everything, I reccomend this board to anyone from beginner to expert, I may never buy a board again!

hits board definatly has all the good. stuff I like the fact it acks like a cont. rocker but pops like a 3 stage, and sooo soft on landings. You can go straight up or push it out into the flats if you want to. a great board for all skill levals. if its good enough for chad sharp it works for me!!!!

This board is fn Crazy! If you like to go out to flats on every jump this is definitely what you want. It pops huge and out. I was going 20 ft to flats on a 75ft rope. I didn’t get to hit my slider with it though because i was just demoing. Great FAST board though.

This board is excellent. I rode a 02 141 Belmont for 1.5 yrs and then switched to this. I ride the TFD with the .7 belmont fins in it for the looser feel. Overall this is a great board with a nice pop through the wake.

Great board! Carries a lot of speed and moves when I want to move it. I ride with .7" fins for just a more looser feel and still holds that edge great.

Just purchased this board 5 days ago, had 5 sets on it. I Love It!
I have been riding a Fluid 137 with 3060’s on it for three years. Great board, but the TFD is something else!!
Stable on the flat, hooks up smooth and fast, holds edge as hard as you want, pops smooth and consistent, what more could you ask.
Would not recommend for beginners, but anyone who likes to carve it up will love this board.
