2003 Hyperlite Byerly 137
In the last three years Scott Bouchard and I have designed eight different shapes with Hyperlite. The designs we've come up with have helped create the idea for the Premier series and the Parks series, plus boards from some of the other guys. We know what works, and we're always trying to come up with the freshest ideas.
I didn't want to change my shape for this year because my line of boards does everything I was looking for. My board gets so much traction from the deep molded-in outer fins, cupped rails, and the two-tier rail. A Byerly board has a lot of grip, but it still releases quickly off the wake because the center fin is only 1.2" deep. My pro model still has the "Byerly pop", explosive, abrupt, whatever you want to call it - it suits my style. It also lands a lot softer with the center beam in the middle. The Byerly series is a classic feel of an abrupt snap off the wake to a controlled tight feel on the water. Scott continues to bring an innovative vision to wakeboarding on the water and in the shaping room. |

I’ve had my byerly for about a year. It has great pop off the wake and the width helps with smooth flat landings.

This is a great board. Pop is really good, finless setup still very controllable, and w/ fins it will still break free on demand. Landing even the biggest airs is very easy. Great board for those wanting to step it up without spending a fortune. A+

this is a great board. I have ridden almost every hyperlite board and this one was my favorite all the way up to the 2004 byerly. you cant go wrong with this board

What a board! I’ve waited ages to get my hands on this puppy and it was worth the wait. Easily the best thing I’ve ridden, although I did need to take the fins off to get it just right. If you needed any more reason to get one, the graphics are totally pimp aswell.

Overall an exelent board, brilliant speed - if you edge hard it will get you going amazingly fast. good on sliders, takes a little while to get used to controlling it, pop is good - not incredible but still good. havent tried spinningyet but the board is light so it shouldnt be a problem.

This is a kick ass ride! What makes it even better is that it was autographed by Scott him self the day i bought i at a demo at our lake in auora ohio. I was so stoked. i like the pop, and the feel of the carve when i cut out of the wake.

this board has more pop than any ive ever riden. i dont hit many sliders or kickers but i love the wake to wake feel

Good board... Nice pop, great feel, bad landings soft but not very sticky.
The Premier is a good ride for me. If you like the feel and pop of the Byerly but don’t like the landings get a Premier!

Fantastic board. You need to be consistant on your approach or you won’t pop the same way every time. But when you hit it right, it bucks you sky high. So the board takes some getting used to. Fantastic for sliders and kickers because it tracks hard without the fins. Great board.

I love this board and I have no complaints. It handles well and pops high. It grabs when you need it and butters pretty well when you want it to. I highly recommend this board.

awesome board. Super smooth and consistant. Rides a lot the parks. it transitions better but not as fast once on edge. byerlys are more locked down. Both boards launch you the same with the 3 stage rocker for tons of hang time to stick your tricks. the byerly has smoother landings in the flats and is a lot easier to ride away from not perfect landings. Spins and flips are both good. i would recomend the parks if u r pro status but if your not the byerly is the best choice.

This is a great board. The pop is not a good as some of the others and it is fairly slow but the landings are butter.

Awesome board! Its a slower one tho. If ur into sliders, this isnt your board. It like stops on kickers. Landings are butter. The lil bumb thing (i dont know what its called) in the bottom center smooths landings and aides tracking but kills you on sliders. Kick ass board for wake to wake.

Great board. It can be a little rough on landings but makes up for it in the pop. I feel like I’m launcjing when I hit the wake.
