2003 Hyperlite Parks 143
In the last 2 years I won the Gravity Games on the Project 142, filmed for the Pointless video on the Premier, and won the 2001 pro tour title on a Byerly. With my own ride I got to put all of my tricks into one. I wanted a board that bucked like no other. It still had to land soft. I also like a board that hauls ass.
What we worked on the most was blending a combination of styles. Boards that edge hard usually feel tight on the water. I wanted a ride that felt mellow thru the transition, but once it was on rail it had to hook up super hard - 11 degree fins. The winged fins give the board a mellower feel on the water, but when I'm on rail it's the strongest hold of any board I have ever ridden. This board is awesome! I love everything about it. It carves, tracks, and transitions very well. However, this board would not be good for beginners. It requires the rider to start his edge before the fins begin to track. It is also not a good board for lighter riders. Oh, and by the way, the people who gave this board a bad review are either too light, not at an appropriate skill level, or they just dont have good board control. Great board!

I’VE NEVER TRIED A SLIDER BUT I BET WITH AS GOOD OF A BOARD AS THIS IS IT WOULD BE GREAT. 2 SUMMERS AGO I WAS ON A PROJECT TRYING TO LEARN TANTROMS BUT DIDN’T HAVE THE POP FOR IT. THIS SERIOUSLY BOOTS YOU STRAIGHT UP WHICH IS PERFECT FOR THE INVERTS. IT’S WAY DIFFERENT THEN ANY OTHER BOARD SO IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET USED TO IT.

I love this board! It’s fast on edge, loose (but under control) off edge. Surface tricks like power/butterslides are really easy and 180’s are no prob. I haven’t been able to ollie as good, but nothing serious. The pop is definetly there, but I’m still fine tuning. Take some time to get used to this board (and watch out for faceplants the first couple times), and you’ll be very happy with it.

Great pop off the wake. A touch on the slow side. On center feels loose but on edge it hooks up really well! Rode a Shapiro before, night and day difference.

I’m a big bastard at 250 lbs. I have riden alot of boards over the last 10 years and I have never found a board as forgiving for a big guy as this one. The best part of this board is the monster pop to elevate a large frame!

BOUGHT THE BOARD, BUT SHOULD OF RODE IT FIRST. IT TRACKS LOOSE AND FOUND MYSELF HITTING THE WAKE OFF BALANCED. THE WATER WAS GLASS AND I WAS EXPECTING IT TO HANDLE BETTER. I HAVE AN ORGIN BOARD AND CAN’T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT THAT BOARD IS. THE PARKS HAS GOOD POP AND THE LANDINGS ARE FORGIVING, IF YOU LIKE HYPERLITE BOARDS AND YOU LIKE A CONSISTANT TRACKING AND GOOD EDGING ALONG WITH GOOD POP I LIKE RIDING THE BELMONT. PARKS BOARD IS MORE SNOWBOARD FEEL TO ME. I LIKE THE SKATE BOARD FEEL. MY TWO CENTS.

I had a busted thumb and I was still able to land my stuff. This is what wakeboards are all about. Take it from a ski-instructor, be ready for your best run when you step on this board.

I really liked this board... GREAT board for air! The only problem.. I didn’t find the landings very soft! Would have definitely bought this board... if the landings were better..

The BEST board i have ever ridden!! I used to ride a 2001 Belmont 140. All my friends can tell this board has helped my riding.Worth every penny! Go Buy IT NOW! The landings are super soft! Even off oa a double-up!

This board is one monster. The fins are too little for the board. Edge is excellent and the landings are smooth as silk. Just stay on edge all time because there is no control in the flats. Try before you buy!! Most dealers will let you for a nominal fee(usually refundable).

I finally upgraded from my old Latitude 141 and there difference was huge. The first couple of times out, I really didn’t like the board. HOWEVER, after getting used to it and going out everyday I love it now. It has awesome pop and the longer length is nice. Tracks great and is super fast.

my last board was the Project 142 2001 model. The Parks is faster and I get more air with it. This also spins better and is really fun to ride.

This board is totally wicked, tricks in the air and on the water were so much easier than on my own board I was so impressed by this board that i will be part exing my board and buying the Parks 143 later in the week PS As i was boarding on the sea, conditions were not exactly perfect but the board handled the very well THe best board evermade!!!!!!!!!

This board is very fast on edge, but you have to work way to hard to get a consistent ride due to it’s lack of bite on landings and during the transition from flat to edge. Other than that, it pops pretty well and is fun. Not for everyone though...
