2002 Hyperlite Motive 128
The shape that started the molded-in fin craze. This board combines thefloaty feel of the original freeride shape, and the extra carving andstability from the shallow outer fins. A board series for first timeriders or for Murray’s winning run at the Worlds.
Shaun Murray designed this shape two years ago, and its’ a series thatwill be around for a long time to come because of its universal appeal. For riders that are just getting into the sport, the outer molded-in finsalmost act as training wheels, giving the extra stability a rider needs tolearn the basics. As the boarder progresses and wants to cut into thewake, the fins almost act as gas pedals giving a stronger, grippier edgehold. The center fin is moved in further from the end of the board thanmost. This allows the board to break free quicker and easier whether it’sa simple wake lipslide or a corkscrew 540 off a double up. Our bestselling series for 2001 is now even a better value.
