2001 Double Up Nelson Dead Fish
For 2001 I shaped three new boards that include features from every board ever created at DoubleUP. Along with some new features such as a Variable Edge Design, my new boards provide a huge pop, hold a strong edge, spin effortlessly and the landings are super soft. The rockers are continuous for smooth carves and the Tip and Tail design are a version of the "Diamond Tip" created by Collin for an easy and smooth release off the wake. Curved Flow Channels are included of course to help build that strong edge hold. My boards also have a Variable Edge Design, giving you both hard and soft edges where you need them. This design has a softer edge in the center of the board, rolls to a hard edge as the channels begin and then progresses to a cupped rail at the Tip and Tail. The top deck contours provide a Canted and Con-caved Foot-Bed for a quick edge response and a comfortable stance. I hope you enjoy the futuristic shapes and the ride of my new boards.

This board rocks!! For only riding for about a couple of years and finally going out and buying a decent board this one really fits my needs. The pop is really amazing with a really smooth landing the back end tends to come out a little but it starts to help learning how to do 180’s Carving on this board is great too. you can really get a edge with this bad-boy. If your looking for a board and want one that fits your skill level this is the one.

Being just a beginner I am guessing on the spinning and inverts because I have not done any but I know when I get there it will continue being the best board I’ve been on. It holds an edge like no tommorrow and the pop is unbelievable. I first rode this board during the DoubleUp Experience this spring in NC with Greg pulling and have loved it since then.

I rode this board with the high-wrap Collin Wright bindings... the transition from edge to edge was smooth and effortless. Great control and awsome pop off the wake. The landings are really soft, too. Everything about the ride was better than I’ve had before(sorry, Hyperlite- I like it better than the Belmont 2000 model).

GREAT BOARD, THE FIRST TIME I RODE IT, I THOUGHT IT WAS WAY GOOD THEN I GOT USE TO IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. LOTS OF AIR, GOOD CONTROL, BREAKS LOOSE WHEN YOU NEED IT TO. I USE THIS BOARD FOR MORNING GLASS SESSIONS. SWEET BOARD.

My third board and I love it. Great pop with soft, solid landings. My only problem with this board is it seems to get damaged pretty easy. Watch out for kickers with this one- I was using small Liquid Force slider fins and I’ve busted my rail. Gotta buy a new board now. Gutted.

I learned a back roll and a 360 in the first week I owned it. I’m not about to hit a slider and mess it up. Landings in the flats off the double up hurt bad, but I’m thinking it would be like the with pretty much every board.

This diamond tip provides a soft landing. The design of boarding provide a higher centre of gravity for the rider making extremely easy to ride for a beginner to an expert. It also create a lovely stray of water when you edging...

This board rocks. I used to ride the Belmont, but after my first ride on this board I was hooked. Tracks better than the Belmont but releases with ease. It also sticks landings like nothing else. It also has a nice clean, easy pop off the wake so you don’t get thrown off balance when you get into the air.
