2001 Hyperlite Byerly Finless 143
Scott's finless series is the first board shape designed to be ridden more on the rail. It opens up a new spectrum of riding where the rider can release the board at will. Finless features include Squared End Profile gives the most snap off the wake. Four .7" Deep x 15" Long Molded-In Fins on each end there are two outer molded-in fins. They are the longest molded-in fins we make and act as the primary form of traction for the board. Deep Cupped Rails act as a turn-down edge providing a quick edge-to-edge feel. Vented Channels increase the speed of the board when on edge. Step Down Rail helps the board sit deeper in the water. The board reacts quicker when initiating a turn and holds a stronger edge into the wake. Scott's Approval- nobody abuses a wakeboard more. This board was built to withstand his punishment. Scott Bouchard Innovation- all Byerly boards are designed and shaped by the innovator "Butch".

This board was incredible! I almost had the best set of my life on this board. A finless board is definitely something you need to get used to but once you get used to it you never wanna go back to those big, bulky, cumbersome fins. The quick and powerful release off the wake you get from this board is amazing. It tracked surprisingly well into the wake. The only disadvantages of this board was that at times it felt a bit slow but I actually kinda liked the balance of pop and speed. A must try by far!

Great board rides like how you think a finless board should. Loose on command but hold a good edge!

You have to hand it to both Scotts on this board! I wasn’t into the finless board idea but then again, what you don’t try you can’t critique! I was a former employee of Orlando Watersports Complex and stopped there the other day in town on business. Goeff of Performance let me try this 143 out on the cable system and I had to hand it to Byerly and Bouchard! This board does very well on the landings of inverts and when pushing it to the limits. If I have the extra cash to put up, this will be my next purchase!! Ride on!

A damn fine board for anyone who know how to get a good progressive edge. Boarders who are beginners or don’t have edge control stay away. Great board, I use it for a slider board.
