2008 Mastercraft X-2
Theres a difference between mediocrity and greatness. Its called desire. And if the X-2 had a mantra, it would be, Desire. Because this overachiever brings it in every way. At a garage-friendly 20 feet, it still provides plenty of seating for everyone to join in on the fun. And it offers a heart-pounding, multi-port, EFI Vortec engine along with a modified step hull for versatile thrills. Top-end speed for slalom skiing; and thick wakes with sweet lips for wakeboarding.
Inch by inch--from the tips of its SuperFly bow to the swim platform--it fervently wants nothing more than to prove its the best boat for you. With an abundance of standard features and amenities, you may feel the throes of desire yourself.
Just take delivery of your own X-2 and then point all of that longing toward greatness.

Love this boat, it's not an X-star but it's the next best thing. I've had a malibu before and i gotta say, after just 1 season u can feel and see the difference in overall quality of the boat. My malibu was really loosing it's new looks after just 1 season. The chrome started pealing off, seats rippping a bit in the cracks, gauges are trembling... . My new X2 doesn't even show it's been on the water at all, and we got +200 hours on it! LOVE IT!
Sick,Sick,Sick! Upgraed from the X1, Ton Of Room, Fit And Finish Very Nice. Plenty Of Power With MCX....
looked at a lot of boats before going with the X2. For the size it has a lot of storage, is made well and can put down a decent wake for skiing while loaded can produce a wake for boarding. It is not going to be the best wakeboard wake given it's size, and it won't be a Prostar, but a great family boat with versatility to do everything and take another family along for the ride. The price is high and related to quality from what I can see thus far. If you want a dedicated wakeboard boat get a X-Star, if you want a slalom only boat get a Prostar, but for the majority of Dads with a couple of kids, this boat will take you quite a way. Must have the MCX or larger engine.
I tried the 2008 X2 in Mont-Tremblant, Canada last week-end. I was expecting much more from this boat. Let me explain : At first, I was really expecting a crazy wake because of the shape of the boat (when boat was in the showroom). However it was not the case on the water. This boat has an amazing comfort. Perfect pass is not impressive, need more power with the engine (it sounds like a bayliner). In my opinion 70K$ of <>. In my opinion, Super Air Nautique is far ahead for real wakeboarders.
