2008 Malibu Wakesetter VTX
MVP. Winner of the Powerboat Magazine 2007 Boat of the Year award, this 20-footer became an instant sensation when we introduced it last year. With all the power and performance to satisfy professionals, but a little less seating capacity than the VLX, its garage-friendly size of 20 feet, 98 inches wide still seats up to 10 in its spacious interior. This compact performer features a newly engineered deck and hull for 2008 and a sleek profile with its frameless vented windshield.

Great boat. Well built and laid out. Loads of space for a 20ft boat. Excellent performance. Worse control in reverse than a lot of other vdrives. Very quiet. Excellent value for money.

We have had Nautiques and Mastercrafts. For $8,000 less we got a boat that was roomier on the inside and out performed both of our previous boats. When used correctly and with the right speed the wedge works wonders on the shape and size of the wake. The smooth wake and great shape allow for some of the best wakeboarding we have gotten in. Not to mention that the quality that goes into making a Malibu far surpasses the competition. I guess that is why all the local ski lodges and ski schools are getting rid of the Mastercrafts and Nautiques and going to Malibus. I think most of this speaks for itself.
Great boat. Very comfortable for a day on the lake. Impressed that we can surf behind it with stock ballast and wedge, but will be getting some fat sacs to really pump up the wake. Wedge gauge needs some work as it is not very accurate but this is minor. A little pricey but could not be happier with the boat and all it's options.

this boat is great because the wake is one of a kind and is the best for even waterskiing and flip the almost 1,300lb ballest and make the biggest wakes on the lake. looks great and only 20 feet and seems it could take down bigger boats
