2007 Mastercraft X-45
Style is defined as a state of being popular or fashionable elegance. With the X-45 being the most desired 24-footer in the industry (in no small part due to its chic pickle-fork design, interior and exterior aesthetic pre-eminence, vented-step hull for superior performance, a 1,000-pound liner ballast system for wake displacement, and a totally redesigned ZeroFlex tower) it is easy to see why style has made its home in the 2007 X-45.

I've owned mine for a little more than a year, and I really do love this boat. For me, we are not hard core wakeboarders, but do take lots of people out with every trip. The styling and room on this boat is off the hook, but handling (mostly steering) is slow and not as responsive as a standard bow boat. This is because the boat is so wide and long. Speed with the 450 hp motor is not a problem, though. For me, the trade off in styling, top speed and room is totally worth it. However, if MasterCraft ever gets steering and handling mastered on this boat, look out because it will be the wakeboard boat to end all wakeboard boats!
I recently test drove this boat because I was unimpressed with the X-Star's surfing wake. This boat was even less impressive in this regard. The boat was quick out of the hole, but the handling was atrocious. The surfing wake was non-existent with the factory ballast. The wakeboarding wake was okay. It has very nice features, but it is more suited to a large family or someone more interested in taking ALL of their friends to Lost Isle than to someone serious about getting behind it.
This boat is incredible. Not only is it great for watersports, but it is an excellent fishing and cruising boat. You are garunteed to have fun!
