2006 Mastercraft X-1
We know what youre thinking: "Let me get this straight: MasterCraft is repackaging the best-selling, most decorated wakeboard boat in the history of the sport the same boat thats pulled the X Games and Pro Tour since Day One; the boat Parks Bonifay rode to multiple MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour and X Games titles; the boat that has sent junior riders to the pro level, and given every rider who ever dreamed of landing his first invert at least a fighting chance, thanks to a wake with a supple transition to a meaty wake, right on up through a lip that gives the right amount of kick without a hint of breaking lose at the top? That boat? And under $40,000? Right. Wake up: This isnt a dream.

Not bad.. too bad we've goen through 2 fuel pumps and are on the third one now. boats brand new too with 20 hours, boat is a little hard to keep at speed on a swirling winded lake, but decent wake for this size of boat.
*GREAT boat* I had a Malibu before this boat. I love the x-1 but it does need a cooler. Hell as much beer as we drink on the boat it could use two!!!!
No other boat has the user in mind as much as the MasterCraft. Beautiful desgin and function. Graphics are not taky like most boats. No cooler does suck, but we bring on coolers for most boats anyways b/c it is easier (or we just have a lot to drink) You will not find a better boat in this market
Bob, you obviously have both a grudge against MC. I've riden in almost every Wakeboard boat on the water. Each have strengths. This boat has the best balance of any boat on the water for those looking for a wakeboard boat as well as a ski boat. It is one of only a few boats despite the claims that can actually achomplish that task. The handling is amazing and the wakes are very crisp. At 33 the wake is as flat as you will find ina wakeboard boat. Only complaint is no cooler, snap out carpet or a larger seating area. Overall, amazing boat.

This is my first wakeboard boat. I used it throughout the 2006 season. Seriously considered a Moomba Mobius until I did a side by side comparison. Best value for someone new to the sport. Excellent handling, powerful and dependable. Rock solid boat. I will buy Mastercraft again.
The only negative on this boat is the lack of a cooler. Beyond that, this is one of the best boats for the money. I've riden behind both Malibu's and Nautiques, both of which are nice boats, but the versatility of the X1 continues to make this the best boat for the $$$. Great wakes, both for boarding and skiing. Handling is great and the stereo kicks @ss. You can get this boat loaded for 50k.
Great boat, its not as much as a bargin price as it apear once you add on everything you need but no the less a great ride, more room than it appears. I have wakeborded with 11 people on it no problem! REALLY!

A great boat for the money. Killer wake even with stock ballast. Weight it down and you better be ready to fly!MC has put many quality items on board.
Why pay $60,000 when you can pay only $40,000 for a great boat. Mastercraft has truly outdone themselves. I have owned an X Star for the past 3 years and I am going to buy a new boat this year. I plan on saving thousands when I buy this new X1. The wake was great and so was the boat no complaints from me I have an orange one on order.
