2005 Malibu vRide
Malibu is known for pulling out all the stops when it comes to boat development and the new vRide is no exception. Seeing the need to address the entry performance class with a high quality, world class Sport-V Wakeboard boat, Malibu engineers developed the new vRide. It is the only Sport-V in the entry class with standard Multi-Port Fuel Injection, proven quality construction and World Class performance.

I bought my vRide in May of 2005 and since then I've put over 100 hours on it. Even after not running it all winter, it starts right up no problem. It had the best comfort of all wakeboats when I bought it and with the ballast and wedge, having a driver and a rider still has a sick wake. It can turn on a dime and has given me minimal problems outside normal maintenance. The stock Sony speakers sucked, but I replaced everything but the stereo itself. I absolutely love this boat. My friend got a 05 VLX within a month of me getting mine and all my other friends still enjoy the wake and the ride of mine better. It provides a much cleaner, easier to jump wake even with the standard engine.

We bought our vRide brand new at the end of 04. After testing one out I knew I needed one. With of base price of 40k it is probably the best deal on the market. The wake behind this boat is incredible. With the stock ballast (900#) and the Wedge (1000#) the wake is already big, but add in a bunch of people and you can fly. The handling is almost on par with a direct drive Response. If you want an amazing boat for an amazing price look no further than a Malibu vRide.

in the stern ballast I added in the 1000lb wedge. But this boat is amazing, i have the 2006 and i love it. I got the 340 in at and this thing flys. I havnt even found the end of the trottle. I havnt had to push it that far and i dont plan on it any time soon because I dont see the need to push something this great. I just love the boat

very sick wake. had around 2000 lbs + the wedge and the wake was huge and rock hard. surf wake was somewhere between chest and shoulder high and so sweet. the monsoon 340 pulled that much weight with no problems or hesitation. super plush interior,10 times nicer than a switch-v or moomba-v as far as the interior and a better wake in my opinion. comparable to an x2 weighted the same.

This boat is everything I could ask for. We absolutely love it. Fit and finish are perfect. I literally could find no issues, not even nit picky ones that I would bring up to the dealer. With the Monsoon 340 HP you will have as much power as you need. The wake is huge and clean. The only thing I could say needs improvement, which Malibu has already done, is storage is tight in the rear due to the hard ballast tanks. The 2005 vlx has the tanks under the floor, which is what this boat was in 2004. Not really a compliant as we were aware of this when we bought the boat.
