I had a chance to ride behind this boat in a comp and was very disapointed in the wake. Even with ballest I felt it was weaker and smaller than almost any boat out on the market.

Got this boat last june and LOVE it. Wake is sick, although it chine locks in sharp turns with 1250lbs or more. Wish it had some kind of front storeage for out of sight additional weight but you have to pay a price for the bow tank. The wedge rocks, handles very well (unless extremely weighted, on par with any wake boat though), and The illusion x tower is pretty sick. Overall love the boat.

This boat is sooo sick! I test drove the Xstar,X10, super air natique, and the lightning c4. The Xstar handled like crap and took on water over the bow with just a little chop. The super air felt too small inside, and the other two didn't even come close to the VLX. Without a second thought I bought the 06' VLX. The wake is so sick you don't even need to put the wedge down. Very spacious interior and just a perfectly crafted boat. Whoever designed this boat is a genius!

THIS BOAT IS THE BEST. THE WAKE IS AWESOME!!!! IT IS 100% WORTH THE MONEY. IT IS INEXPENSIVE COMPARED TO OTHER BOATS. THE WAKE IS SUCK WITHOUT WEIGHTED.THE STOCK BALLAST WILL TAKE CARE UNLESS YOU JUST WANT MORE TO HUGE.GET THIS BOAT AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!! GURANTEE IT

this boat has the best wake i have ever seen! It just absolutely launches you and kicks you so hard on trip flips..you have to try not to go too high!The wake leans more toward the mellow side but acts very lippy.It is a vry thick wall of water that will let you defy gravity..I am a big fan of this boat and hope to get to ride behind another one..i was blessed to ride behind a vlx owned by a makibu designer who is coming out with new racks that are air compressed and his boat was loaded with ballast and lead..Needless to say, it was one of the bestexperiences in my life!

Awesome boat! Great to ride behind, gives off a good wake. Great for every uses! Family loves it, sits more people comfortably than most boats this size!

this boat has a awesome wake and give you a real kick when its fully loaded with the boats stock ballast.........The tower speaker for the illusion X are also sick.......This boat is a really good boat for any person really and i personally enjoy this boat alot....

sweet boat, tends to chine lock on turns when heavily weighted, doesnt handle the greatest, but it's a v-drive pro wakeboard boat so what do u expect? Huge wake, very comfortable.

Sick, SIck, SICk, SICK!!! This boat is SICK!. Phattest, Sweetest, Meanest looking Wake Machine out there. Correct Craft, Master Crap, Ski Centurion and what ever else BEWARE the boat of the year and the next is MALIBU VLX suckers. Just look at the new Wake World boat and check out those pictures and tell me you don't agree. Great job guys your new boat rocks!!!!!

I'm not real great at wakeboarding and i've never surfed but I LOVE this boat and it's wake. This wake is MASSIVE. Even w/o all the ballast filled it has a huge lip. The wedge makes the wake peak faster and it gives it a great face. It is so smooth too. I have a brother that wakeboards too and he loves it also. This boat is in my opinion the best wakeboarding boat out this year. A big must.

Wakesurfing is more my thing, and it has a great hip high surfable wake. I load the left stern side up, cause I'm regular footed. I put 600lbs all in the left storage compartment (lead weights) and fill the rest of the mls system except for the right stern and the wake is huge, huge and has a sweet lip to slash on. It only gets better with more people in the boat and the boat holds alot of people. I love this boat. Oh yeah for wakeboarding the wake is sick too! 5 all across the board..

I Love the looks of my new VLX. It turns heads. I am not great at wakeboarding, but the wake on the boat is sick. I add extra lead weight to the back and bow, cause I hardly have a full boat and the wake is huge and rampy with a sweet kick. Every one that has ridden in or behind this boat wants one or wish they had one over their boat. There is nothing that is negative about this boat I could say, I am completely stoked on my new VLX.

This boat is overall a great boat.. I have been very happy with it and have had no problems.. Not only is this a great boat but has a great wake and tons of storage. You'll have a spot for everything u need and some extra... I also love malibu's dealerships they are great. Great boat go out and buy one to advance in your riding and start off the season GREAT!!!!!

This is the most mad ass boat it the world. I got mine with a stock 1,250 pound ballast system and with the wedge u get a serios kick of the wake. The boat also has 4 defcon 4 speakers plus the standerd sony exploid system its rediculously loud. I have ridden behind Mastercrafts X-star X-80 X-2 and X-9 and they toally suck compared to this boat. The only person that wouldnt give this boat a 5 is someone jellious that they dont have one. This boat also handles on a dime.

the gut that gave this boat a 3 before my review is a hater. he must own a Master Craft. Malibu vlx is sweet. awsome wake, tons space for all your buddies and has little bow raise when pulling boarders unlike x-star or all master craft boats. this the one you are looking for and it looks real good. check out the sweet dash and the crome wedge along with the crome exhast system looks great. i wish i could of given this boat a 6.

I have 3 little boys,2,5,and 7, my oldest started wakeboarding when he was 4, and the others are folling his lead. Last year we went to an open tour. and he came in 2 for the 16and under group. We joined INT and he placed 4 at US Champ. We decided that if we were going to do this we had to have a wakeboard boat. My wife and I had certain requirements as far as storage and room being a major concern,as you can guss with 3 boys. We talked with Gary Morrison a good friend and he put us in touch with Jeff Komlos at Extreme Wakesports in Shelbvyville Ky. We were very impressed with the VLX, it had plunty of storage and room for our youngest to roam around and the large swim platform is a huge hit with the boys for swiming. The responce and handeling seems to be great, but I cant say for sure because my wife wont get out of the drivers seat. The wakes are great without any of the tanks filled so Zach(my oldest) can train with just the regular wake, and I can Add weight as I need. Overall I was most pleased with Gary and Jeff and Malibu, the VLX met all our requirements as a family boat as well as a wakeboard boat for a family of wakeboard champs some day.

Best handling Wake Boat I have ever driven--even with 4 full ballast tanks/wedge and 1000lbs lead. Wake is awesome-rampy without wedge/peaky with. The 537 prop is great with the monsoon 340 engine--plenty of power! tons of storage and love the roomier interior compared to last years VLX.
