MasterCraft has broken the mold again with the introduction of the largest wakeboard boat on the market. At 28 feet in length, the X-80 combines an innovative hull design, monstrous wakes, a roomy interior and loads of amenities.

Five feet longer and 16 inches wider than MasterCrafts largest previous X-Series model (X-30), the X-80 is both uncommonly large and uniquely designed. Unlike other inboards, the X-80s running surface utilizes a vented stepped hull and forked open bow for increased passenger capacity similar to the redesigned 2003 X-Star.

The X-80s enormity allows families and friends to spend more time playing and less time making pit stops at the dock. The X-80 has a 77-gallon fuel tank, an enclosed head and a Convenience Center with ice bucket and pressurized fresh water sink, not found on other wakeboard boats.

From bow to stern, the X-80 offers tons of space and comfort. The bow features wrap-around seating for 4, 6 drink holders, 2 powerful Clarion speakers with separates and lots of storage. Its also accessible from outside the boat with a stainless steel ladder that retracts from the vessels anchor stowage area. Its perfect for climbing out of the water or storming a beachhead.

Sitting or standing in the X-80s cockpit is also a unique experience. The boats speedometer, tachometer and Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro cruise gauges are mounted above the dash in a billet aluminum, bullet-shaped X-Pod that puts them in full view of the driver. The remainder of the dash houses all other essential instrumentation, including controls for the X-80s Double KGB liner ballast system. There are 3 cup holders and the captain can tune the satellite ready Clarion AM/FM CD stereo using a digital remote in the armrest.

Opposite the cockpit on the port side is another elevated bench seat that faces both forward and backward. It has 2 drink holders and lays down to extend the X-80s already enormous wrap-around seating interior.

The remainder of the X-80s interior is completely open thanks to the boats V-Drive engine transmission. Theres plenty of walking room and wrap around seating ideal for sunbathing. This area is also loaded with amenities including abundant storage, 6 drink holders, 2 Clarion speakers with separates, 1 Clarion subwoofer, interior lighting, 2 twelve-volt plugs, 2 floor drains and snap-in carpet.

The X-80s transom incorporates a walk-thru that allows passengers easy access to and from the swim platform between 2 large sun pads. Each of the pads lifts up on pressurized gas shocks to reveal additional self-draining storage spaces perfect for wet toys. The transom is constructed of a single fiberglass piece that covers the engine compartment and opens at the push of a button thanks to an electronic actuator. This compartment also contains huge amounts of storage space.

The X-80s enlarged fiberglass swim platform is seamlessly integrated into the stern. This oversized area is perfect for boarding the boat, putting on your board, launching a tube or just testing the water temperature.

The X-80 also has all of the available speed and handling of many smaller wakeboarding models. Combine the torque and rapid acceleration of a standard MasterCraft exclusive 6.0L, 385 hp, Vortec HO 6000 power plant and youve got high performance. The X-80 is quick and nimble, defying the status quo for inboard boats and taking ski and wakeboard sessions to a higher level.
