Featuring a clean base with no fins or channels of any kind, riding the R5 to it's full potential requires a rider well versed in the mechanics of setting a proper edge, using the reverse sidecut at the tip and tail to gain traction. Lesser skilled riders can still rip on this board, whether it's buttering around the local lake or ripping it up on the obstacles at the cable park.
