polarbill made a post in this thread: Can you surf an MB With only stock ballast?
CJ, If you really want to surf a lot I would price the boat with dealer plumbed rear 750# or so sacks. It will be a bigger upgrade cost than doing plug and play on some of the other boats because you will have to add pumps and switches but as yo...

polarbill made a post in this thread: Affordable boat covers
Do you plan on towing with the cover on? If so I wouldn't go the route of sharkskin. I would buck up the extra money for a sunbrella type material.

polarbill made a post in this thread: Must See-Great surf boat for under $40k
[QUOTE=boardman74;1873620]I'm confused is it an X30 or a Maristar VRS230? Unless I am wrong those are 2 different models that happen to share a hull, but have very different features, gel coat etc. Certainly it can't be both. Most people wouldn...

polarbill made a post in this thread: pickle fork boats
hahaha. I was wondering who would catch that. I don't know about Darrin, but I figured a hooligan like Diggs would.

I actually think a pickle fork in general might be able to get on plane quicker but it has nothing to do with the running surface. I think it might have to do with more weight in just the tip that a similar hull traditional bow.

polarbill made a post in this thread: Wake Plate
you should cut it off and throw a trim tab on it. Fisheries supply up in Seattle carries Bennet and lenco I believe. Might be able to buy a single one with actuator and switch for $250-500. Ken, when did you get the Elite V? Post a pic.

polarbill made a post in this thread: How much will this boat sell for??
Or in oregon. A schmuck fan might buy it. I am right there with others. I think a 2002 ProV is worth right around 25k in good condition and with all the options. That would make that boat worth a couple grand less. I would make sure and list ...

Ken, I had a calabria with a plate like that. I believe the plate just flexed enough to do a little. It obviously isn't as drastic as a trim tab.

polarbill made a post in this thread: Anyone ever seen one of these?
that boat might be a direct drive. On their site that have 2 big models that look the same but one is direct and one is a v. that might have something to do with it. They probably have to keep the tongue weight low since they seem to tow with s...

polarbill made a post in this thread: 98k Ski Boat
Sick boats for sure. That is a lot for any boat and even more for a slalom boat. The 1991-1994 Prostars are looking better and better every day. 10% of the price with likely 90% of the skiability and 80% of the room. Steal of a deal.
