From Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. – The World Wakeboard Association (WWA), a by-riders for-riders organization, is proud to announce the addition of the Veteran’s Division to the 2011 WWA Wake Park World Championships hosted by Al Forsan International Sports Resort. This division, based on camaraderie and fun, is structured to cater the 40 and above age group.
“One of my favorite aspects about the world championships is that all ages get to compete,” says WWA President Shannon Starling. “It is this feature that creates the real worlds vibe.”
In WWA Wakeboard World Championships (boat) history, this division has been one of the most competitive and determined divisions of the contest, and with overwhelming inquiry from riders, the WWA Wake Park World Championships looks to set a new precedent within the division.
