The CWS National Championship Analysis

#1 Florida State vs. #16 Oregon
Florida State has a deep team where as Oregon does not. This is going to be a big advantage to FSU. However, we know the University of Oregon is home to some great wakeboarders. We will have to wait and see what Oregon is going to do to give Florida State their best effort

#2 UNC Wilmington vs. #15 Baylor
UNCW looks to be a little too much for rookie team Baylor. UNCW is loaded on all accounts, especially in the open division. They have 4 or 5 open riders who are going to just pick other teams apart. Look for Justin Sellers, Justin Barnes and Nick Joseph to bring more style than you can handle.

#3 Central Florida vs. #14 Georgia College
Central Florida is another loaded team with strong top level riders. Austin Hair looks to win rider of the year, while Arron Able, Mark Solty and Trey Bivins hold the rest of the team together. Georgia College just doesn't seem to have the high end riders to fend off these high scores.

#4 Chico St vs. #13 Georgia State
Chico should handle this match up no problem. With Raequel Hoffman on your team and a loaded open division, it's going to make it hard for any team to stack up against this talented group of kids.

#5 Long Beach St. vs. #12 North Carolina State
This match up could get interesting. Look here for a potential upset. Both teams have a solid advanced division and not a strong open division. NC State has Nicole Steele who can gain some team points in the women's division. If Natalie Kellner comes, it might not matter much. Keep your eyes on this match-up in round one.

#6 South Florida vs. #11 North Texas
North Texas has a strong women's divisions that could carry them in the points. But it will take Justin Troth and Michael Troth to carry the rest of the team to beat this South Florida squad. Derek Dyer alone will push the Bulls to the top in the open and wakeskate divisions. But Ryan Heosrom and Chris Waters are going to need to secure the rest in order to beat North Texas. We think North Texas might have some tricks up their sleeves.

#7 Texas A&M vs. #10 Texas Tech
We didn't mean for this to happen, but aren't you glad it did? This will be the best match-up of the first round. These teams are close and gave each other a run for their money in Beaumont. We are going to have to wait and see what eight riders these teams bring. Don't expect to see Davis Griffin from Texas A&M.

#8 Texas vs. #9 Virginia Tech
Texas is the favorite here against the 2009 team of the year. Virginia Tech is going to need to bring some upper level riders to compete against Stephen Cahill and Taylor Lopez. Don't forget about Witt Whitman and Derek Weber with Texas either. Texas might be much better then number 8.
