Team Supra Boats Welcomes Parker Payne

Share

SupraSupra Boats is proud to announce the addition of Texas surfer Parker Payne to the Supra Boats Surf Team. Parker has taken the wake surfing world by storm in a short two years, turning pro in his second year of competition and amassing an impressive list of finishes including amateur world and national championships in 2013 and pro podiums at the 2014 NWWSA Open and US Wake Surf Nationals.

"Parker is an ideal fit for the Supra surf team," said Justin Burke, Marketing Manager for Supra Boats. "He is a young energetic surfer with an impressive couple years under his belt and his personality and drive align great with the Supra brand. We are stoked to have him on the team!" Parker will make his Supra Team Debut in May in his home state of Texas at the opening round of the 2015 Supra Boats Pro Wakesurf Tour.

We got to ask Parker a few questions...

SUPRA: When did you start surfing?
Parker: I've been boating and playing on the water for years, but wake surfing for about three years.

SUPRA: What's your favorite part about this growing sport of wake surfing?
Parker: This sport is full of really cool people! I've made great friends from all over the world. Everyone has a different story to make the sport fun and interesting.

SUPRA: Parker, why Supra?
Parker: Supra has an awesome energy and momentum that is very contagious! They're fun people to be around and dedicated to making products to grow our sport!

SUPRA: What boat are you currently running?
Parker: A sick one! It's an SE550 with the monster 550hp supercharged Raptor motor in it.

SUPRA: How would you describe the wave on it?
Parker: The wake surf wave is awesome! It's super customizable, has a quick transfer and is all kinds of huge!

SUPRA: If you had a dream day what would it be?
Parker: My dream day would be camping with our friends down on the Brazos River in Texas. Get up early and down a big stack of pancakes followed by a morning surf set with my buds. Picnic lunch on the water with the boats tied together; swimming and some good tunes. More surfing in the afternoon. We wrap up the day with some wakeskating and "death spirals" on the tubes. A movie back at the campground with friends and family then crash.

Okay speed round…
• Coke or Pepsi? Coke
• Bill Gates or Steve Jobs? Steve!
• Red Bull or Monster? Red Bull
