Oak Ridge, TN – PTM Edge announces the development and availability of its new CFR-200 carbon fiber composite universal windshield mirror bracket. The CFR-200 clamping mirror bracket is manufactured with carbon fiber composite material, providing extremely strong and rigid performance. The patent pending bracket design integrates "X" bracing for rigidity and interlocking components provide for functional flexibility. In the upright performance posture, the bracket "locks" into place with the turn of a single knob, preventing the bracket from loosening and changing position. Another simple twist of the knob releases the "lock" and with an upward tug, the bracket slips from its interlocking nest, and drops below the windshield forcovering and transportation, without removal. The CFR-200 installs in minutes with 1/4" allen wrench. The CFR-200 will accommodate all but a few specialty windshield trims and is American made. It is available at your dealer’s parts department or your favorite pro shop for $99.95 MSRP (sku# CFR-200).
The CFR-200 carbon fiber bracket is also available in the Pro Combo 100 Pack offering the CFR-200 bracket AND the popular VR-100 HD panoramic mirror. All packed in a single box for $199.90 MSRP (sku#PCC-100).
PTMEdge/Protomet Corp president, Jeff Bohanan said, “The new carbon fiber bracket allows every boater to maintain a safety zone as a part of their boating experience.” The patent pending locking system and rapid installing clamshell View4rce mount, allows the boat owner to lock the mirror in place when in use or retract the mirror below the windshield for covering, storage or transportation. These are features that have become favorites of the owners of the PTM Edge ZXR series billet brackets.
PTM Edge View4rce VR HD mirrors, the ZXR billet brackets, PXR pontoon mirror systems and the new CFR-200 carbon fiber composite brackets are available at your local pro shop, boat dealer, marina or online at ptmedge.com.
