Monroe WA - Summer is here watersports fans, it is time to Dust Off the Rust! The INT League is coming to town for the first annual INT competition on Lake Tye, a waterski, wakeboard, wakeskate, kneeboard, and wake surf event. This event is presented by the INT League who has been hosting events in Washington since 1993 and the Lake Sammamish Waterski Club, the oldest waterski club in the western region.
The INT League offers divisions from novice all the way up to pro. Each division is based on ability level, providing a non-intimidating environment for participants to compete against competitors of similar ability levels. INT offers divisions for both kids and adults. INT events are competitions to improve your riding ability level, learn new tricks and meet new friends. Riders can show off their tricks and style for bragging rights and big prizes!
Competitors can register online at intleague.com. Onsite registration and check-in will open at 8:00am Sunday. The tournament will commence at 9:00am with the National Anthem and then waterskiing. Wakeboarding will begin immediately at the conclusion of the ski portion. Wake skate will follow wakeboarding and surf will conclude the tournament. Spectators are welcome at no charge.
The awards ceremonies will be held inside Sockeyes restaurant. First place ski division winners will have the opportunity to win an O’Brien ski! Wake division winners will have the chance to win a custom made SKITZO surfboard provided by Day1 Wake. Sockeyes will offer happy hour drinks and food for the entire day for competitors and their guests.
The winner of the Open Wakeboard Division will be granted a Golden Ticket. This lucky, or we should say skilled, individual will then have an automatic bid to ride in the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour coming to Monroe on July 12-13.
Onsite, sponsor and vendor booths that include Seattle Water Sports, Wiley’s Waterski, Northwest MasterCraft, Day1 Wake and Evans EZ Dock will have boards, rash guards, shirts and other great stuff to make your riding season more enjoyable.
This event is the second stop on the INT Washington tour. Later this summer, the INT League will have tour stops at Winlock Waters in Winlock, Sun Basin Ski Ranch in Moses Lake, and Koppert Lake in Toledo, culminating the season with US Championships in California.
This event is sponsored by the INT League National Sponsors, as well as local sponsors: MasterCraft Northwest/Seattle, Wiley’s Pro Shop, Lynnwood Motoplex, Seattle Water Sports, Pacific Nautique, and Sign-a-Rama.
