Merced, CA - Rebecca Ort, a two-time World Wake Surfing Champion, won the Swiss Wake Surf Championship at beautiful Lake Zurich on Sunday. The Swiss Wake Surf Championship is one of Europe’s premier wake surfing events attracting more than 40 of the World’s top athletes. Rebecca defeated reigning Wake Surfing World Champion Raleigh Hager for the win. The Swiss Wake Surf Championship is a part of the World Series of Wake Surfing, which is a fourteen-city tour around the World designed to produce qualified competitors for the World Wake Surfing Championship to be held in Henderson, NV in September.
Rebecca won the event in front of hundreds of hometown spectators by including huge airs, stalled 180’s, alley-oops and a reverse. She secured a place in the World Championship of Wake Surfing where she will attempt her third World Championship this fall.
