CenturionMerced, CA - The Centurion Pro Wake Surf team continues to dominate the World Series of Wake Surfing at Stop #5, the NWWSA Wake Surf Open in Monroe, WA. The Centurion professional team continues to post positions atop both the Men's and Women's division of both surf and skim style wake surfing demonstrating a complete dominance of the growing competitive sport.

Team CenturionJimmi Sparling, the newest Centurion Pro Wake Surf team addition, qualified for the World Wake Surfing Championship (WWSC) with authority throwing huge airs, giant snaps and high aggression by taking 2nd place in the Men's Surf style division. Jimmi successfully landed an Alley-Oop to surface 360 Combo in the semi-finals and finals, as well as throwing his signature aerial 360 on his custom 6 fin surfboard. It was a masterful display of surf-style riding that put Jimmi in 2nd place at the World Series stop earning a $400 payday.

The four-time and current reigning World Champion, Bri Chmel, provided a dazzling display of surface spins that left the event's emcee stumbling while trying to count her rotations. Behind the Team CenturionCenturion Enzo SV244, Bri stuck all of her tricks except her final backside bigspin. To defend her title and claim her 5th World Championship she assures her team, "I will be consistent on this trick for the WWSC, I swear!" Bri takes her second consecutive 1st place finish in the 2012 World Series to win $800.

Fellow Centurion Pro skim-style rider Caroline "Caro" Villeneuve made her second World Series appearance and earned another World Series of Wake Surfing podium spot capturing 2nd place and $400. Caro hit her shuv-its to compliment her aerials, regular and switch surface spins and is consistently getting stronger and now challenging fellow Centurion team rider, Bri Chmel, for 1st place as these two leading ladies make the final push towards the World Championship.

Team Centurion2010 World Champion Keenan Flegel continues his push through the World Series as he claims is 5th podium appearance in 2012. Keenan who placed in Skim and Surf divisions, 1st and 2nd respectfully in Zurich, Switzerland; 1st & 1st in Skim & Surf at the U.S. Nationals and here at the NWWSA Wake Surf Open, Keenan brings home his fourth 1st place victory. Keenan is still the only professional wake surfer to successfully complete a 540 pop shuv-it in a contest and he completed the second such successful maneuver to bring home $800 of the pro purse and 1st place!
