Merced, CA - Centurion Boats is proud to announce a new partnership with BabeShredder, an all female rider and lifestyle company. BabeShredder is a brand that was designed to strengthen the female wake community and showcase the skill and passion they have in wakeboarding, wakeskating, wakesurfing and all board sports and promote the tremendous advances women have made.
BabeShredder’s Peace Love & Shred competition will be the first ever all-female cable wakeboarding competition in Arizona. The competition will begin at 5:30PM on May 3rd at Wakeboard Island Cable Park, part of the BlueWater Resort and Casino located in Parker, Arizona. Centurion Boats will have the Enzo FX44 onsite for off-cable boat demos with wakeboarding, wakeskate and wakesurfing sessions provided by Century Marine of Phoenix.
Ash Hannig, BabeShredder President, said, “Having Centurion’s commitment to women of wakeboarding and wakeskating is huge. A major boat company stepping up to sponsor our annual Peace, Love & Shred event is exactly what women of wake need.”
The competition includes two divisions, beginner and advanced cable. The event is designed to expose new riders to cable riding and the competition experience. All participants will receive a gift bag upon registration, and the top three winners in each division will win cash prizes. A raffle drawing and social hour will follow the award ceremony at the Rivers Edge Cantina. All participants are encouraged to arrive early to the event for a discounted practice time between regular park hours, 10:00am - 5:00pm.
Todd Gaughan, Centurion Vice-President of Marketing said, "We are stoked to work with Ash on this project. The BabeShredder team has been with us on multiple catalog shoots and cable exhibitions at the Centurion Boats sponsored Wakeboard Island at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. We are happy to reciprocate the support. All female wake events allow for growth in a safe, fun and pressure-free environment."
Centurion Boats professional wakeboarder Melissa Marquardt will be in attendance offering coaching and guidance for all participants. Melissa, an X-Games and Triple Crown medalist is a seasoned expert in both behind the boat and cable, including obstacles. "Growing wakeboarding and focusing of women is my favorite. I can't wait to throw down on the cable with all the girl," added Melissa.
Limited ride slots are available, so pre-registering is recommended and can be done at babeshredder.com. The cost for participation is $30.00 for each athlete. The boat demos are free, and the entire family and crew are welcome.
