Since the inception of the World Wake Surfing Championship in the 1990's, Centurion Boats has been the industry leader and the driving force behind competitive wake surfing.

"We are pleased to have Centurion Boats return as the title sponsor of Worlds and bring their World Championship Towboats back into the spotlight for the event,” said Todd Gaughan, World Wake Surfing Championship Director. In 2011 WWSC competitor spots filled up in record-time including surfers from seven different countries. The event format is expanded to three days in 2012 to accommodate more competitors.
