It’s that time of year again when riders from around the country and around the world have started to head to Cables Wake Park Penrith for Boardstock – the event of the year. January 18th, 19th and 20th is looking to be a jam-packed three days including the Wakelife Team riders cup, Double Up System 2.0 contest, the Jetpilot King of the Kicker contest, the riders choice awards, the Liquid Malisha Triple one event and the Liquid Force Rail Jam.
Boardstock has proven to be the biggest cable event of the year in Australia, attracting many riders from different walks of life and parts of the world coming together for one great weekend of riding and fun.
The list of international riders includes Amber Wing, Raph Derome, Daniel Grant, Melissa Marquardt, Bob Soven, Aaron Rathy and Danny Hampson.
Aussie Shredders Matty Hasler and Angelika Schriber have just returned from a long international season and are coming down to Penrith to compete and are looking forward to catching up with old mates and having a ride.
Mitch Langfield, Brenton Priestly, James Windsor and Aaron Gunn will be joining the field in the pro men division.
On Monday the 21st and Tuesday the 22nd of January riders Raph Derome and Daniel Grant are holding ‘Ride with’ days, where riders of any ability can ride with the pros for only $195. Contact ML Watersports on 07 3889 9100 to book your spot, but hurry because the days are filling quickly.
Boardstock is open to riders of all ages and abilities. There is a division for everyone, even first timers. Be sure even if you aren’t competing to come down and check out the day, talk to the riders and even have a ride on the right foot cable, which will be operating as normal all day.
