If you've been dutifully paying attention to your WakeWorld news, you've undoubtedly heard all about the new company
that's currently being put together by former HO/Hyperlite owners Herb and Paul O'Brien, among others. As this young company goes through the process of building a new wakeboard brand, they were looking for your help to make their online presence felt with their first website. They were looking for someone with some web and graphic design skills so they could give that person a shot at becoming an apprentice for this exciting new company!
Paul O'Brien wanted a talented individual that could capture the feeling and emotion of their new company and translate it into a website that is not only functional, but looks great as well. Paul wanted a computer dude or dudette who digs our sport of going sideways and was ready to take on the challenge of putting a masterpiece.com together. This made for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door of a company that's got potential written all over it.
After spending way too much time sorting through the applicants, Mr. Trump...err...Paul selected Brett Higgins as the new apprentice!
Brett will not only be working with wake industry legends, but he'll also receive a full setup of riding essentials from the new company, a trip to Radar Lake in Washington, where he will be able to ride his new setup on one of the world's most famous lakes, and a compensation package for creating a the company's new website. Who knows? He might even end up as a permanent member of the new company.
One of Brett's mock-ups of the new "Square One" website is shown below. Congratulations to Brett and thanks to everyone that applied!
