Swope Brothers


Parker SwopeThe Swope brothers, Parker and Barrett, are pretty well known in the scene as the Hyperlite young guns that rip behind the boat. I just recently met them and finally had the chance to shoot with them. We had a blast gathering footage for this edit. Check them out!

PS: 6 years cable, 3 years boat
BS: Riding for 6 years
WW: What category do you compete in?
PS: We mostly ride cable and just recently starting riding boat as well.
BS: I will compete in Advanced for cable and Jr. Men for boat
WW: Best results so far?
PS: Jr. Pro boat and cable second at Plastic Playground, second at WWA Cable Worlds for Boys Features and third in Traditional

WW: How did you get into wakeboarding?
PS: I saw my dad and friends wakeboard and I wanted to try it and loved it after my first time.
BS: I saw my dad and friends wakeboard when I was young. It looked fun so I wanted to try it and I loved it.
WW: What's your best memory from the past season?
PS: Best memory would be getting second at Plastic Playground
BS: Landing my first Pete Rose during my finals run at WWA Cable Nationals
WW: How is it to have a brother alongside you training and traveling?
PS: Better having one than not having one, so there is someone else trying new tricks with you and you aren’t alone all the time.
BS: You always have someone to travel with and help push your riding.
Parker SwopeWW: How come you were in Orlando recently?
PS: We were on spring break and went down to hang out with Cobe and Tarah Mikacich at Freedom for some boat and then our friends, the Stuckeys, and hit up several cable parks throughout Florida.
BS: I was in Orlando for spring break to ride at Freedom Wake Park for a few days, then go ride with my friends, the Stuckeys, for the rest of the week at different Florida cable parks.
WW: Where do you see yourself going to college later?
PS: I want to go to UCF.
BS: Not sure where I want to go to college yet, but probably somewhere in Texas or Florida.
WW: Fortnite or wakeboarding?
PS: Wakeboarding over Fortnite
BS: Wakeboarding for sure, but Fortnite if the sun is down.
WW: Pizza or burgers?
PS: Pizza over burgers
BS: Burgers
WW: Skinny or wide stance?
PS: Middle stance, the happy medium of wide and skinny
BS: My stance is right in the middle. Not skinny or wide.

PS: 75 feet
BS: 70 feet
WW: What speed do you ride?
PS: 22 mph
BS: 21.6 mph
WW: Who coaches you?
PS: Most of my coaching has came from friends at the cable park, boat from Cobe and Tarah Mikacich and my dad is always there to help, but he refers to tricks as flippy spinny things.
