Adam Errington Wins Brostock

Brostock AxisLake of the Ozarks officially became Lake of the BROzarks last weekend. Hundreds of boats and thousands more party-people converged on the BROzarks for Liquid Force’s annual BROstock. The turnout was amazing and the riders made sure to give them a good show.
Brostock Day 1 was spent traveling and getting settled here at the Tan-Tar-A resort, followed by a BBQ/meet and greet with Performance Marine Watersports. Bob Soven got stabbed in the calf with a blow dart later on in the evening and Rusty Manoff found a roach in his beard.
Brostock Day 2 was spent on the golf course for Liquid Force’s charity golf Brostocktournament. Two pros were paired up with four bros/Joes/Janes for a nine-hole best ball round. Shots, das boots, shotguns and Monster Rehab drinks were all on the menu along with Happy Gilmore tee-offs, long drives and more. Henshaw and Mike Ennen did more spins in their golf cart than Harley will likely do on his board over the weekend, plus one accidental flip at the end. There was one incident that involved male nudity and two incidents that involved athletes falling off golf carts onto the concrete road.
Liquid Force ended up raising over $3000 in their inaugural charity auction for the Coffman Bend Fire Association, the local volunteer fire department. Big thanks to all sponsors and friends that donated to help us raise money for a great organization!
Shane BonifayBrostock Day 3 featured the double up contest. The format this year was the same as last year. In every heat each rider would get three double ups; one left, one right and one of his choice. The best trick would be scored per round. Should a rider advance, he would not be allowed to repeat a trick in a later round. This way the riders had to use a little strategy to make it through the contest. It proved that a rider was more than a “one trick pony” and it gave the crowd a little more something to watch and be entertained by.
The first round featured five heats with five riders in each heat. The top two riders from each heat would advance to the second round. Due to Mother Nature, the second round went from being a ten-man semifinal to a ten-man final.
The athletes decided before the final that with the conditions as they were, they’d split the total prize purse among the 10 of them, but the winner would get an additional $100 from each of them. After nearly 120 double ups pulled behind the Axis A22, Adam Errington came out on top with a heelside 900, followed by Steel Lafferty and Rusty Malinoski placing 2nd and 3rd respectively, both with off axis backside 720s. Here is how the top ten placed...

  1. Adam Errington
  2. Steel Lafferty
  3. Rusty Malinoski
  4. Phil Soven
  5. Jeff Langley
  6. Jimmy LaRiche
  7. Raphael Derome
  8. Daniel Powers
  9. Danny Harf
  10. Aaron RathyBrostock Winners - Steel Lafferty (2nd), Adam Errington (1st) and Rusty Malinoski (3rd)

In typical Brostock fashion, the party rocked on at Captain Ron’s with PBR aplenty the rest of the night, capping off what will go down as one of the biggest and best Brostocks EVER! Stay tuned for tons of video coverage from the craziness in the BROzarks...and get ready for Bro2013!
Big thanks to everyone that helped make BROstock 2012 a huge success, including Monster Energy, Axis Wake Research, New Era, Spy Optic, GoPro, Sanuk, Frends, Alliance Wakeboard Magazine, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Captain Ron’s and Tan Tar A Resort.
