It was the ultimate win-win-win situation. You got to bid on top-of-the-line wake gear, donating companies got love and adoration for helping out a great cause and thousands of kids got their holidays brightened with gifts that they otherwise would not have received!
2010 Marks the sixth year of our Toys For Tots Holiday Fundraiser. We're proud to have raised over $42,000 toward the cause during our first six years! Our phenomenal results are thanks to some very generous sponsors and a lot of bidders that have grabbed some outstanding deals on wakeboarding equipment while helping a good cause. Your efforts have made a lot of underprivileged children's holidays a lot brighter.
This year's auctions have already concluded, but, as you can see from the sponsor list below, it was another great year. We had over $65,000 worth of wake gear to bid on with all proceeds going towards the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program.
Below are the sponsors that donated product for our 2010 auction. Pay special attention to the grip of gear donated by CWB Board Co. and the Tige R20 wakeboard boat made available by Tige!!

The fun part comes when we take the money raised and see how much we can spend with one trip to the toy store. As you can see from the video below from the San Diego NBC affiliate, five shopping carts, a long bed truck and the spirit of competition to see who can leave the store with the most toys in their cart makes it a great WakeWorld tradition. Once the purchases were made, we headed down to our local NBC affiliate's toy drive to drop off the toys and present the Marine Corps with a check for the balance.
Thanks to everyone that donated and bid on items for our 2010 Toys For Tots Holiday Fundraiser!!
Toys For Tots collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
