Maeghan Major Charlotte, NC - JL Audio announced that they have re-signed former X-Games gold medal winner Maeghan Major for the upcoming 2004 season. "We couldn't be more pleased with Maeghan's performance last season," said JL Audio's Publicist Lucette Nicoll. "Maeghan was on the podium throughout 2003. She represents our brand well with her strong consistent finishes and her charity work involving Camp CARE and MDA. We feel she is an excellent ambassador for not only JL Audio, but all of her sponsors.

"I couldn't be happier to be a JL Audio athlete," said Major. "They are the proven industry leader and it makes a real statement about their vision to not only be involved with wakeboarding, but a female athlete. I am proud to have their support."

Last summer with the media frenzy and excitement surrounding the introduction of the new X-Star, JL Audio seized the opportunity to generate some additional excitement of their own by upgrading Major's boat with over $20,000 in audio gear. "It was amazing," quipped Major. "I have never heard anything like it before or since! Not only did it sound awesome in the boat, everyone remarked at how clear it was riding behind it as well."

The project consisted of four subwoofers (in specially made enclosures), 12 speakers installed in the boat, eight speakers on the tower and over 4500 watts of power. The boat is scheduled to be featured in an upcoming issue of Car Audio and Electronics magazine as well as to appear on the web site WakeWorld.com.
