Chris that is my ideal setup but put a track system in the floor.
Sailboat is almost done, but we are still too dry to get it down a launch ramp. At this point it won't even be this year.... I almost have my dock done, so at least when I get the boat in the water, if I ever do, I have a place where it will float despite drought.... Knock on wood....

I tossed around the idea of stick building this shop as well. I did all the labor myself, so I can't give you any ideas how much that would cost you.

The building is a 2"x3" 16 gauge tube frame and 26 gauge siding, so it's not even close to the structural integrity of a red oxide building but it is engineered to withstand twice the wind I ever get in my area.
The manf. of my building is local, but you can check out their site and call them for a quote. It came out to be 50% of my estimate to build with wood. Including the Rollup door, man door, and window.

I have a small fortune in those T5-HO lamps too

30' deep, 40' wide, 14' tall walls. 12x12 big door, 16' wide x 10' high second door

I can pull my 24' Supra in with zero clearance issues at all. (Pic shown is a 20' supra)

I am getting quotes now on a 30x30x14 and a 30x40x14, I just want to make sure that a 10x12 door will be fine for getting boats in and out without folding the tower.

The first 30x30x14 with 10x12 door and entry door, no windows came in at $8398.76 + concrete and self labor. To add an additional 10x10 door it was $1152.93

Another question, if we put the largest door on the gable end could we fit a 10x14 door?

My rollup door is 16wide X 12tall. 12' should be plenty of headroom for a tower.

I don't think you can install a 14' door on 14' walls. You will barely have room for the drum, although you could go with a steep pitch to the roof, but there's no need for a 14' door IMO.
Unless you want to roll a Peterbuilt inside.
