I got my '99 Centurion Elite V-Drive out on the lake yesterday, and the damn thing would make a random beep noise every few seconds to alert me of something. The gas was at like a half tank, oil pressure full, no excessive heat coming from the engine, we were in normal deep water. What the heck?? It's got to be some kind of pressure sensor of some sort. Does anyone own a similar boat that has had the same issue?

Did you check the oil level in your VDrive?

Yep, checked the level. From what the dip stick read, it said "full". Unless the boat is that sensitive that everything has to be full all the time? The V-Drive warning light was not on at all(the one above the gear shift).

did you run the boat? did you have full power, or did the power cut out? if so the culprit is likely a bad impeller and the boat is not getting the suction needed for water flow cooling.

if you ran the boat and it was not overheating then the impeller is probably good. a few folks on centurioncrew.com said they replaced the sensor and the problem went away.

Did you have it checked out before you bought it? Now you are going to have to take it in and have the engine module trouble codes retrieved to figure out whats wrong.

Check the impeller. Had my malibu doing that one time and just replaced the impeller and it fixed the problem.

There is also oil in the transmission too... just behind the v-drive.

What did your gauges say at the time? Battery should be around 12 - 14 volts. Engine oil pressure like 20 - 60 PSI. Engine water temp like 160 - 180.

I had it taken to the boat shop to be checked out...I needed to anyways since I just bought it. Turns out the fuel pressure was low, that's why the beep alert kept happening. So that was fun...$300 later Oh well, they said it was good to ride again

Did they replace anything or say what the cause of low fuel pressure was?
