i want massive vertical pop off wake because i ride boat most all the year, but also a little cable, and i have been hearing that slingshot response was the way to go which surprised me for being a boat rider mostly. any1 with experience with these boards, what year response would be the best for pop? or any complaints about this board?

I ride the 2011 Response and its the "sickest board ever" but pop depends much more on technique rather than the board you ride.

for the slingshot line, the hooke or recoil will give the most Vertical abrupt style pop. the new lyman board coming out next month might be a candidate too.
personally i love boards with exaggerated flex characteristics. super fun to ride. great pop, softest landings out there.... but will YOU feel the same?

like any and all boards, you will get various opinions. unfortunately we all like different things... which is actually a very fortunate thing haha
Unfortunate that it can sometimes be difficult finding what works for YOU
Fortunate that there are choices and different flavors out there to give us variety and innovation.
