Some friends and myself are thinking/planning a trip to lake Hyco in NC around the 18 of march. We are from Ohio and was wondering if any locals could give us some more information about what the current water temp is, a good place to stay, place to hang out?We went there last year and had fun but it was later in the month so we kinda know the area but just wondering if anyone else has any more advice or information.

Thanks for your time!

Bryan

check out www.endofropegang.com

there are several hyco locals there who will know a lot more than me...Id guess water temps toward the end of march will be somewhere in the 60s or maybe 70s but thats just a guess.

that would be awesome, when I looked at the lake on the map, it looked like it was a pretty big lake and therefor it could be blown out easily, is this true?

On our trip there last year, We were always able to find a sheltered shoreline somewhere. It wasn't always the smoothest water or closest to the hotspot but it was definitely rideable. Fun lake!
