My girlfriend and I are goofy footed. My boat is a Moomba XLV and will pretty much most v-drives the regular side wake is much better (LH rotating prop I assume is the reason). Surfing heelside is weird. During the 4 month off-season, I was thinking of getting us a couple of those long skateboards for giggles to ride regular footed around the neighborhood or the concrete jogging trails. Do you think this would help?

QUITTER!! Hahaha I'm goofy footed to I've been kickin the same idea around too, I think there's some merit to it. On the plus side, at times I've been told I do surf better HS on regular than my TS goofy. (I tend to do alot of HS)

I thought more would chime in on this.

all it comes down to is putting the time into doing it. It took me about a 2 trips to get used to riding switch, and now i can carve and pump and working on airs switch. Im goofy, normally would ride heelside. toeside is WAY more fun. just keep trying, it will come faster than you think. i split my time snowboarding between switch and regular, same with longboarding and skating. riding switch on a longboard will definitely help you feel more comfortable on the surfboard...or any board. switch it up

I would get a RipStick instead of a longboard.

I would love to have a longboard to ride on the days i could not surf, I think riding the longboard is the closest feeling to actually surfing, so go for it!

I 2nd the RipStick. Carving and the balance on 2 wheels feels closer IMO. You can roll off-center like a skimboard. Either will help

If you are going to get a Skate Board to ride around you might try one of these. It might help in other areas of your riding as well.

Looks like a lot of Fun, unless you catch that downhill Edge (ouch) watch the Videos.
