Hello, I've been out of wakeboarding for a number of years and I'm looking at getting back into it. I'm not a serious boarder but I do enjoy fooling around behind the boat.

The main purpose for the boat will be wake boarding but every other week I have my son & I will take him out tubing or something relevant to a 6 year old. I also would like to be able to hang out on the boat during holidays & such so an open bow would be nice.

My parents used to own a ski rental business and I frequently boarded behind Moombas, their wake seemed good to me but honeslty I've not really been behind much else to be critical.

Overall I'm looking for advice on boats. I've heard good things about the Mastercrafts and Nautiques. I have about $5k cash and I'd like to avoid a payment but getting a decent boat won't allow that it seems.

I found this today

Open bow is a good option, seems like a decent boat. Some fit & finish issues but overall minor. I think I can get it for $11k without a trailer but I'm working on the dealer to include a trailer of some kind.

Is 700 hours heading towards maintenance nightmares? I'm told that the boat was regulary serviced directly by the dealership, it was supposively bought new there and maintained there. Anything to watch out for on the 98 Nautiques?

Are Mailibu's decent? I've seen them in the 7's but typically without towers.
