basically thats my situation. trade my 1995 supersport(ballast, perfect pass, new interior, new engine) plus 20k cash for an 06 x1(3 ballast tanks perfect pass cover) with 150 hours in perfect condition.

Alan, do the math...what's your boat worth on the market...say 15k-17.5k? So basically you are paying 35-37.5k for the 06 X1. Are you okay with that deal? That's basically how I would analyze it. Take whatever your boat is selling for and add it to your cash out of pocket, then search for what you can buy for that. That will give you a good basis for what your boat +20k is worth and what you get for it.

think of this your boat has ? hours this boat has150 hours your boat new was? 30000 maybe just guessing. this boat new was 60000 just a guess. to me using logic if there was more than 20000 diff new to new and i'm guessing your boat has more hours on it. you know the condition of both boats. not even seeing them it sounds fair.what really makes a difference do you like, want, need this new boat ? only you can answer that.but money wise it sounds good to get an 11 year newer boat inYOUR words PERFECT CONDITION!

IMO no. If your boat has new interior & motor why would you swap to an X-1 which is similar in size and performance to what you have?

I just helped my brother in law buy an 06 X-1 last fall for 26K. Would go all day for thirty but would mean your boat is worth 10K. Bad deal. 15k and your boat would be a little more realistic.

Hell no! Why in the world would you go and do that? Your boat will no longer depreciate and is the same size (if not bigger) than the X1. Also, the wakes are completely different. So if you love the nautique wake, it is night and day from an X1.
