Has any one ever used one of these as a ballast pump?

RULE 17A GENERAL PURPOSE WASHDOWN PUMP 3800 GPH

Seems too me like this would fill the sacks quickly.

Jesse on the Moomba forum is about to test out his Rule 3800 pump/system he installed over the off season. He's pretty close to getting on the water I believe or maybe he has already. He bench tested the system and had good flow numbers.

1 1/2" outlet & 15 amps, wow!

I am interested to see how it works for Jesse. I am thinking 3 dedicated Attwood T1200 pumps would be about the same flow rate but would be cheaper when all is said and done. Maybe I will need to do a detailed comparison once his data is available. He might be onto something.
