Is there still a direct number? I am a longtime directv customer and a big fan, just growing tired of seeing the advertised rate for new customers $30 lower than what I am paying. So much for customer loyalty.

Best thing to do is tell them Comcast or something, is offering you a killer deal, and ask what they will do for you?? Usually under the threat of you leaving they will offer you a discount. With my Iphone in my car I canceled Sirius radio and they immediately offered me a lower rate as did Direct TV in the past.

Speak "Yes" when prompted

Speak "Operator" continuously until transferred. I had to say it about 5 times :-)

BTW thought you moved to Auburn?

Thanks Peter, nope we are still in San Jose, the wife would love to move to Auburn, but I am chicken and my job pays well ;)

side note: I pitted for Tom Wayes at King of the Hammers, it was killer...we started 95 finished 15.

Yeah, and I am parting my rig. I have already sold a bunch of stuff, but still have a long ways to go

AMEN!!! I have a month left on my contract and will definately be giving them a call. THe bad thing is I can't threaten them with switching back to Cox because they are rediculous. The same service is about $35 a month more with Cox. Even if they gave me another 2 year re-up with the 50% off the first year I would do it.

Called tonight about an unrelated issue.... Feel bad for the customer service reps....but my GOD....take care of my issue the first time....
