Up for sale.. super fly, super pimp, 1 x US of A Canon L-Series 70-200 f2.8 IS USM.

Make your Canon 7-D/5-D/Rebel XTIzqs rock and shoot the next "wakeboard video of the year" with this bad boy (or just get lots of chicks wanting you to shoot them in their bikinis.. Ask Hahn.. he knows, so it's your choice playa!)

> Need to stabilize those shaky shots? No worries! With cool acronyms like "IS" & "USM" this lens has got you covered!
> Need to get those mad shallow depth of field shots? BAMN! f2.8 baby! This lens has got your back!
> Want to look like a pro at your next Bat Mizwa shoot? Dude.. you're dialed in with this L-Series glass!
> Is this gear stolens? Hells no!
> Worried about spray from the boat? chhaaaa.. this comes with a 77mm Canon UV Haze filter. Protecting your shiznick and retinas from those dangerous UV Rays!
> Want box? Yeah.. you'll get the original "box" and other paper stuff
> Wondering why you don't have this lens in your arsenal yet? Yeah bro, me too!

So what are you waiting for? Take your B-Game to the next level with this lens and make a statement!

Holla if you're serious!

LOL... good one Rich, but that alone will raise the price another $1.00.

How about this.. I will personally autograph a Global WarNing DVD & Poster with each purchase.

RB - lol.. nah, just checking if people actually read my silly post. Like I said I'm "open to wheel and deal"..

Myke -You're making some very tempting offers, what about an all expense paid trip to lovely Shastina Lake with Eric Estrada..?

Randy - Thanks, but I'm trying to unload Canon to buy Nikon. In one door.. out the other. Now if you have a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VRII or a 300 f2.8 then I'm down. ;-)

Dave I hope you're not switching to Nikon for the video!Upload

I'm curious to hear Dave's response as to why he's switching from Canon to Nikon. I've been torn between the Nikon D300s and Canon 7D. Just curious what he liked/disliked about one over the other.

Dave- I thought you went Nikon months ago??? I'm confused!

Dave I'm very excited about you having a counter offer....

Unfortunately at this time Eric Estrada is booked for the next five and a half years.... If you would be willing to compromise for Randy Jackson we might be able to make a deal. Please let me know what your thoughts are.. Thank you for your time!

Ronnie - "trying to unload Canon {glass} to buy Nikon {glass}. ;-)

Rich - nope. I have a panasonic for that. ;-)

JP - I went with the D700 primarily for the full-frame and super clean high iso capabilities. For me the switch was never about video since I already own a HVX200 and it's splurifferic for making sexy time videos! From what I've read/heard the 7D is probably your best choice (right now) if you want to shoot videos with your DSLR. Just take a look at what http://www.vincentlaforet.com/ has been doing with the video capabilities of the canons. Scott A also posted a video on this forum where they were using canons to shoot scenes for 24.

As for Nikon.. http://www.dpreview.com/news/1002/10022304nikonbalance.asp

"At present, according to Sasagki, Nikon regards video as a function that is of more use to users of lower-end cameras, but ultimately will be a standard function across Nikons entire DSLR range."

Myke - You're getting me so excited. How about Urkel, is he available? You're about the loose this deal.. work it!

dpc- why not switch to a 5d2? Is the D700 that much better at high ISO?
Old    dtw. (notsobueno)      Join Date: Dec 2004       02-25-2010, 5:24 AM Reply
scott a: I'm Not familiar with the Canon high ISO quality, but can assure you that the D700 and/or D3 high ISO quality is stunning.

Kung Fu Dave-thanks for the response and links. I still am not sure how important video feature is for my use. Nice to have...but is it mandatory to have on dslr? Better to go with dedicated camcorder? Still deciding and researching.
Sorry for the hijack Dave. Good luck with the lens sale.

Dave, a bird in the hand is worth...... Sell it. I would like to have it but I'm saving my pennys for a 7D.

Randy - Not sure if I understand..? isn't that like having a Ferrari without a steering wheel! Don't fight the L-series.. it's calling your name.

Imagine 18 pt bucks and bald eagles with HUGE talons in your sights!

Alright Dave I'm going to just have to come pick it up and see if I like it first.. After a few shoots if I like it I'll start the payment plan with you
Old    mcbean7            03-10-2010, 4:17 PM Reply
Hey Dave,
If the deal with the Nigerian guy falls through, will you consider a trade for this? I'll even throw in a year's supply of Folger's coffee...whatta ya say?

JP - You got it! I will take about 60 of those for a trade and then I will drink red bull from each one.

Anyone interested in taking their "C" to an "A" game?

Holla!

I also have a Kodak disposable that I will gladly trade for a Canon 7D.. hit me up on PM if you're interested.

This thread has been "blowing up" with almost 500 views.. wow!

Thanks for all the interest, but I'm sorry to say that the lens has been sold to a boat merchant from Somali.. I'm now waiting to take delivery of a french tanker with about 40,000 tons of oil. Pretty fair trade if you ask me. However, I'm still not sure what I will do with it... I wonder how the wake is?
