Hi everyone I have just bought my first wake board and bindings. Board is absence 137 Obrien and bindings are chaser hydro slide. They came as a package. Anyway they attach to the board with thumb screws but won't tighten down hard to pull the plates down on to the board.(as if the threads are too long) So they rattle on the surface of the board. Is this normal? Sorry but I am going on the water tomorrow and don't want to break my neck or legs un-necessarily. Thanks

Your bindings should fit flat against the board with no heel-toe movement.

The solution would be to get some shorter screws. Try taking your whole setup to a local hardware store so they can set you up. (Or better yet a local board shop)

those bindings will probably always have heel and toe lift. but for the bindings to not rattle you need to add washers on top of the baseplate and below thumbscrews.

dave, i doubt he bought hydroslide bindings from a pro shop.
