we've got a 96 d-drive MC Prostar 205, and im looking for advice on how you all would weight it down. ive never added any weight besides people being in the boat, but id like to get a few sacks for our upcoming trip in a week. i dont need a HUGE amount of weight and i doubt my dad would approve of tons, but some would be good. im still probably a beginner/intermediate rider, but a big wake will not scare me. i was thinking something like 350 on either side of the engine and 250 or so up in the bow to start off, sound about right? thanks let me know what you guys do

My buddy has a 97' 205. He runs a 900lb seat in the back & a 300lb sack in the bow. Very nice shape.

In our '99, we run a 500lb sac in the trunk, a 350 side sack on each side of the motor and about 175lbs in the bow. It works out real nice!

I had a 95 dd PS205 and would weight it by putting twin 350s on each side of the engine cover, and then a 500 on the rear seat and one in the bow. This made for a very nice, peaky wake.

i have a 98 205 and run with a king size mattress about 3/4 to 4/5 full in the back, then usually about 3 people up front and two in the center..so like i guess that would be about 450 up front and 300 in the middle........really nice wake at 75 to 80 feet and it burns gas ok with that dispersement

Used to have a 94' 205. We removed the rear seat, and put a 500lb fat sac there. Put a 250lb fat sac on each side of the engine compartment. Also, 600+lbs of people weight made a good wake. If you want a steeper wake move one of the 250lb fat sacs to the bow, then distribute people weight to even things out. This made for a decent wake and the boat performance didn't degrade so much that it was annoying. It wasn't a huge wake, but definately respectable.
