Is it possible to install a sound system on a really old boat (check my profile of a really old boat) I'm not talking anything serious. I have 2 old tape decks from my parents cars when I installed custom decks in them (1996,1998 cars) I'm thinking if I used one of those as the deck, and then ran wires through my tower, and found myself some cheap or used tower speakers then possibly.... wondering if anyone knows if this is possible, if so any links to sites that talk about it... or is just wishful thinking

I don't see why you couldn't do what you are asking about.

I got it for 40 bucks (canadian)!!!! :-) The reason it cost me so little was that I got it built by a friend of my parents who had all the tools and the material.

you wont be hearing tower speakers without an amp BUT i had a yamaha 115/ob that i ran a radio and small amp and was barely able to hear the pylon speakers while riding or you could just put a large deep cycle battery in the boat for ballast and run your audio off that then recharge it when you get in everytime??
