can anyone tell me who makes a really good crash vest one that will absorb most of the falls cuz i just cracked 2 ribs from a bad fall so i need a good one

I wear the Vapor. It has quite a bit of rib protection. I like it. It's a lot better then my old molded o'neill boost. It isn't USCGA approved though.

I would think a barefoot suit would work wonders. Southern parts would be more protected as well.

David,
I broke a rib in two places and separated the cartilage from the bone in my sternum two years ago. As soon as I could ride again, I bought a Neil Pryde Impact vest (5000). It is a great product for impact prevention, but does not float you well. I would recommend checking one out, it is the only way I was able to get back on the water.
