is that bad? I have a v210 with dual batteries, 1 on starboard and 1 on the port side.. yesterday I was digging around in the starboard side locker and saw about 2 " of water in the battery box.. any way to prevent it and let the battery have breathing and cooling?

My battery boxes have 1/4 inch drain plugs on the side of the boxes.

Is the water from the batteries or the lake? I would guess its bad if its from the battery. If its from the lake was it there when you bought the boat? If its lake water drain it out its not bad in fact it would be some cheap cooling. After all they're in the elements in your car. If your battery isn't sealed maybe it was overfilled then the water spilled out the overflow or the caps when they were in use. or bouncing around.
