I was out on the boat yesterday, and killed the engine for about 20 minutes after cruising around for about an hour. when I went to start her back up, I had the radio on and the blower running, but she wouldn't turn over. So I removed the key, turned the ignition switch off and back on, and then I was able to start her back up.

I'm certain Ive started the boat with the blower on before, but could that be the reason it wouldn't start?

anyone else experience something similar?

Your positive the throttle was in neutral?
Clean the contacts on the back of your dead man swtich. And make sure the connector itself is in good shape.

is that the same as a kill switch? the small switch that has a wrist lanyard attached?

If that's what your're referring to, my boat doesn't have one.

sounds like maybe the boat was in gear? maybe just a tad over the threshold of being able to start.

The throttle was definitely in neutral.

Yea, dead man switch = kill switch.

Maybe corroded contacts on the back of the ignition switch?
