I was changing out the flax on the stuffing box on my V-drive and noticed that the prop shaft does not pass directly through the center of the stuffing box. But rather it is offset slightly to one side making it hard to put in the new peices of flax. How do I get it centered??

Unbolt the coupling at the tranmission. Put the packing in, and bolt it back up. You may want to check your alignment while you have it unbolted.
